The Mandaluyong City government launches today the online pre-registration of residents for the free COVID-19 vaccine. Those who wish to reserve their slot for the free vaccine are advised to visit https://www.mandaluyong.gov.ph/vaccine/.
Residents who register online will need to submit a digital copy of any valid ID as proof of residency. For those who cannot register online, each barangay will send out a team that will conduct house-to-house registration to avoid members of the family from going out.
Mayor Menchie Abalos said both means of registration take into consideration the minimum health protocols. “As much as possible, we want residents who voluntarily want to make their reservations via online so people don’t have to go to their respective barangay halls.”
Everyone is reminded that the registration is voluntary and free of charge, as well as the vaccine itself since the City government has alloted a budget of P200 million for the acquisition. The total number of reservations will determine the quantity of COVID-19 vaccine the City government will acquire once it is made available.
Abalos also said that once the vaccines are acquired, those who have pre-registered will be included in the priority list, which includes medical frontliners, senior citizens, and PWDs.
Abalos and other city officials have started conducting public consultations regarding the upcoming vaccination program, starting with residents of Barangays Burol and Buayang Bato.
