ARE you still waiting for that confirmation email from the Department of Foreign Affairs regarding your appointment for a passport application?
Your confirmation email may either have landed in your spam, or may have been stuck in a technical glitch that the DFA’s Office of Consular Affairs is sorting out.
The DFA-OCA said the Passport Online Appointment System (passport.gov.ph) underwent system maintenance from 9pm of Tuesday night till 6am of Wednesday “to address issues concerning unsent confirmation emails.”
Applicants who have completed and paid for their passport appointments were advised to wait 48-72 hours to receive their application packet and to check their spam folders should the application not appear in the inbox. If no email was received, applicants are advised to call 8234-3488, DFA-OCA said.
Applicants who have not received their application packet and whose passport appointments are scheduled this week were advised to bring the original receipt issued by the payment merchant and present this for verification at the Consular Office where the appointment was made.
The DFA said it appreciated the continued cooperation and understanding of the public “as we work on upgrading our systems.”
