UNDEFEATED in 29 fights with 19 of those clinched by either submission or knockout. He is the first Muslim to win a UFC title. He speaks five languages and is arguably one of the best, if not the best to ever do it in mixed martial arts (MMA) history.
Khabib Nurmagomedov, in his last fight, could’ve broken Justin Gaethje’s arm with an arm bar in front of his parents. But instead, he submitted Gaethje by triangle choke which rendered him unconscious.
He talks to his opponents and taunts them while fighting and applying a submission technique.
Khabib lost his father Abdulmanap to Covid-19 in July. The virus didn’t just take away his father, but also his motivation for fighting, announcing his retirement immediately after being declared the winner.
He promised his mother that he would never fight again.

Nurmagomedov’s fighting style is the smothering kind wherein he uses his world-class wrestling to pin his opponents in the cage and maul them to submission.
Because of a strong lower body, once Khabib is on top of you, you might as well tap out.
He’s the greatest lightweight in UFC history, you won’t get much of an argument from any MMA fan about it.
