THE number of repatriated overseas Filipinos (OF) crossed the 153,000 mark as of Saturday, including the 8,329 brought home this week, according to the Department of Foreign Affiars (DFA).

The latest repatriates are from Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Weekend reports from PH Embassies and Consulates record only two new confirmed cases, one new recovery, and no new fatalities from Covid-19 among Filipinos abroad in the Asia and the Pacific region.

In line with its ongoing repatriation efforts, the DFA said it remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare.
