The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday brought home 323 Overseas Filipinos from Qatar aboard a Philippine Airlines chartered flight.
This is the third chartered flight from Qatar which was organized by the DFA. It landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at around 9:24 a.m.
The DFA dispatched a team who warmly welcomed our kababayans home, helping the 323 Filipino repatriates to undergo the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health.
They were required to undergo quarantine procedures in accordance with the omnibus guidelines established by the Interagency Task Force.
Concurrently, the DFA is facilitating a total of 19 flights this month of July, including four flights arriving in Clark every Friday.
The whole-of-nation approach to repatriation involves the DFA coordinating with the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), DOH and the DILG.
