As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
Daughter of Passage band singer, Luchie Huang (the voice behind the band’s big hit, “You Won’t See My Crying”) and younger sister of Nathan & Mercury’s Nathan Huang, it’s no surprise that Elise Huang is also equally talented.
Exposed at an early age to a wide range of musical genres from pop, jazz, fusion and gospel to indie pop and soul, Elise has nonetheless has crafted a signature sound she calls her “own little brew” as she also likes to “write songs on other people’s behalf.”
Fun, bubbly, charismatic, and charming, the self-confessed coffee addict is billed as a solo act but performs with a full band. And she’s got the whole gang for her SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine performance of “Coffee.” The song earned her a 2019 Awit Awards nomination for Best Female Performance by a New Recording Artist.
“Coffee” and other songs by Elise Huang is now available for streaming at Spotify and other digital platforms and released by Warner Music Philippines.
