As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
As a young actress, singer, songwriter, and influencer, Hazel Faith dela Cruz or simply Hazel Faith has been making her presence felt since she first started turning heads in the hit TV series, Be Careful with My Heart where she played the lovely best friend of Jodi Sta. Maria.
But even as her budding acting career continues to blossom with pivotal roles in acclaimed indie films like Ekstra and Bar Boys, Hazel Faith also started to make a big impact on the Original Pilipino Music scene. She has consistently generated millions of views for the music videos of her hit recordings of “Everything Takes Time” (1.4 million plus), “Di Na Kita Mahal” featuring Michael Pangilinan (1.3 million plus) and her biggest hit to date, “Kinikilig” (over 2.9 million).
In addition to her own hit recordings and music videos which also include her Tagalized versions of popular K-Pop tunes, this Curve Entertainment artist has also written songs for other artists including Juris, Kisses Delavin, and Kim Chiu. As she continues to hone her craft, Hazel Faith also attended the PhilPop Songwriting Bootcamp in Lingayen, Pangasinan, last year.
And no, not even the COVID-19 pandemic can halt Hazel Faith’s creativity. If anything, the lockdown only inspired her to write more compelling music like the song she’s performing for this edition of SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine. What better song would best describe this quarantine summer, than a song simply called, “Quarantine Summer?”
Yup, Hazel Faith made the best out of the current circumstances and created a soulful, R&B ditty about it and it’s a must-see and hear here on SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine.
