As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoor
Crude Oz is an independent singer-songwriter from Pasig City who specializes in mostly alternative rock but also occasionally churns out ballads and love songs. He plays all the instruments in his songs except the drums because the drums don’t like him.
His name Crude Oz is an anagram of Deo Cruz. It’s also a wink to the Wizard of Oz since he believes that making music is similar to magic. So by that token, Crude Oz considers himself a crude maker of music.
For this edition of SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine, Crude performs “Di Sanay,” an acoustic ballad he wrote during the ongoing pandemic, As suggested by the title, the song is about not getting used to a situation when one is separated from a loved one, something a lot of people have been subjected to as a result of the lockdowns that took effect to control the spread of COVID-19.
