OVERSEAS Filipino workers (OFWs) displaced by the coronavirus pandemic and were forced to return home may now register for free skills training from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).
Tesda announced that it is now accepting online registration for returning OFWs that want to get free skills training. Tesda Director General Isidro S. Lapeña first made public the program in a virtual consultation with migrant workers last week.
Lapeña said that his agency is improving its reintegration initiatives for returning and former OFWs. This latest development, dubbed “Tesda Abot Lahat ang OFWs,” will provide the displaced OFWs access to many of the Tesda’s services.
OFWs can register online through the Tesda mobile app that can be downloaded on both Google Play Store and App Store for free.
