As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
Counting Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Dream Theater and Megadeth as among their influences, hard rock outfit Uncle Skunk are taking their headbangers ball to SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine with the exclusive world premiere of a brand new song.
The band is composed of Aga Valence on guitar, Bjorn Lloyd Manalo on vocals, Paolo Vivas on drums and Ryan Barron on bass. Their song, a grungy mid-tempo rocker called “Eye” is an introspective coming-of-age tune about a guy who had big dreams in his youth and how much or how little he was able to achieve them.
Paolo says the song, which echoes the sound of bands like Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver and further punctuated by Aga’s sizzling guitar licks, is part of an upcoming five-song EP that the band is currently in the process of recording.
