As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
Isabelle de Leon first made her mark in the entertainment industry as Vic Sotto’s precocious youngest daughter in the hit family sitcom, Daddy Di Do Du.
Isabelle’s star continued to rise as she continued to be busy with acting for the rest of her childhood and her teens. Developing a passion for music, she went on to release her debut EP, Love Zone at the age of 18.
Consisting of six songs she herself wrote, Love Zone included the hits, “1 Week To Move On,” “Frendzone and “Feelingero.”
Shifting her focus back to acting, Isabelle would later expand her horizons as she qualified for Ricky Lee’s prestigious screenwriting workshop. Then just last year, she joined the Miss World Philippines beauty pageant and won the Miss Multinational crown.
Her passion for music, however, has not waned one bit as she continued to write songs. Recently, Isabelle recorded “Bayanihan,” a tribute song for the COVID-19 frontliners that she wrote in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd).
Here is Isabelle de Leon with a special version of “Bayanihan” exclusively for SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine.
