The team of Cong. Camille Villar distributes grocery packs to hundreds of underprivileged families in 20 barangays of Las Piñas affected by the efforts to contain the threat of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The first batch of six barangays received the grocery packs today.
Earlier, Cong. Villar’s team also distributed face masks and hygiene kits – soaps, gallons of alcohol and sanitizers – to various hospitals, barangay health workers, and 32 barangay health centers and offices in Las Piñas.
Making sure the needs of the frontliners are addressed, they have also distributed food packs to health workers, and hospital and military personnel.
Moreover, the Villar family have donated disinfecting apparatus, face masks and Crystal Clear drinking water to government hospitals. The first batch of disinfecting apparatus was donated to nine government hospitals and some 200,000 face masks, and a supply of bottled drinking water through the Department of Health (DOH), and several partner organizations like Red Cross and schools for stranded students.
Likewise, they have turned over the three buildings the family built and donated for the temporary use of the Las Piñas General Hospital (LPGH) to be used as extension of the hospital’s facilities, temporary housing for healthcare workers and/or quarantine facility.
