ABS-CBN Corp. has struck a partnership agreement with cosmetics maker Skin Magical, riding on the popularity of its afternoon drama series Kadenang Ginto, which will now sport the product labels of Skin Magical.
Julie Gutierrez, who heads one of the clusters of ABS-CBN Licensing, said the move to partner with a cosmetics brand is supportive of its goal of empowering Filipino women.
“We’re happy to be working with Skin Magical and we’re just as excited to launch this one with them because they’re one of the up-and-coming local brands that we also support for giving Pinays options and helping them in their livelihood,” she said.
On Friday, Skin Magical will release four beauty rejuvenating sets for varying skin types. Two will represent the innocence of lead characters Cassie and Romina, and the feistiness of villains Marga and Daniela.
Skin Magical COO Ghie Pangilinan added that her group found the partnership to be strategic given the virality, popularity and marketability of the show.
“This will really help Skin Magical because we all know how trending Daniela and Romina are,” she explained.
