THE country’s institute dedicated to the professionalization of Philippine corporate directorship has recognized Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) for responsible stewardship and governance excellence in the conduct of its business.
The Institute of Corporate Directors, which seeks to raise the level of the country’s governance policy and practice to world-class standards, used its Asean Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) and rated BPI among the top 5 of the 16 publicly listed banks in the country.
BPI received a Golden Arrow Award in recognition of this achievement, for being a top-performing publicly listed company in the recently held ACGS Golden Arrow awarding ceremony.
