FAST-FOOD giant Jollibee Foods Corp. said it plans to put up more stores in the United States and in Europe in the next five years, concentrating more on the Filipino communities.
The company last week inaugurated its milestone Jollibee store in Guam, a US territory, as it announced plans to grow to five Jollibee stores in the island in the next five years.
“As a growing business center and an island of incredible diversity and taste, Guam will make a great home for Jollibee,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, the company’s CEO.
“The customers that keep coming back are truly heartwarming. We are very excited to be here and are looking forward to what lies in store as we grow to five stores over the next five years,” he said.
Jollibee opened its milestone store facing Micronesia Mall in Dededo, Guam, in April 2019 to over 1,000 customers. The long queue of customers continued even weeks after the opening.
Jollibee also announced a yearlong partnership with nonprofit organization Mañe’lu in line with its commitment to strengthen ties locally. The company pledged support through a series of events that will bring joy to the local youth under the organization’s care.
In line with its accelerated expansion, the company said it has committed to grow to 150 stores in the USA and 100 stores in Canada in five years. Jollibee has also announced plans to open 50 stores in Europe over the next five years, with 25 in the United Kingdom.
