Anchanto, a Singapore-based e-commerce services and solutions provider, plans to “revolutionize” the way business in Manila’s Divisoria is being done by developing a digital marketplace that enables sellers and buyers to have a faster mode of transaction.
“Our target is to digitize 200 sellers in Divisoria by end of June this year,” Abhimanyu Kashikar, cofounder and chief operating officer of Anchanto, said in a recent media briefing in Makati City.
Divisoria, dubbed as the country’s bargain capital, is a major flea markets in the country that is known for its retail and wholesale shops. A shopper can usually get a good discount in Divisoria, especially in bulk shopping.
At present, Anchanto has 30 sellers in Divisoria who have subscribed under the plan.
On a broader scale, Kashikar said, Anchanto is introducing technologies to boost further e-commerce deployment in the county. “Price is a big challenge for the small and medium enterprises [SMEs] to enter the digital stage,” he noted.
For the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Kashikar introduced the Free Forever package. Under the plan, this free, basic online plan, allows the seller to connect to any number of local marketplaces and process up to 50 orders in a month for free.
Citing the importance of MSMEs to the economy, Kashikar said the free service is offered “basically, to address the barriers they have with technology and improve their [operational] efficiency.”
Open to all interested MSMEs, Anchanto can accommodate as many who wish to be on board the free e-commerce plan. Kashikar said he also plans to meet with concerned government agencies to offer Anchanto’s free online service.
For businesses that have scaled up and grown, Anchanto offers monthly subscription plan of P750 per month for SMEs and P7,500 for standard business plans.
As a response, Anchanto introduced SelluSeller and eWMS, now known as Wareo, to enable SMEs to migrate their operations to the digital age.
In the Philippines, Kashikar said there are 50 enterprises that use both SelluSeller and Wareo, a proprietary software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce for third-party logistics, warehouses, brands, retailers, distributors, and postal associations.
As a platform, there are 2,000 registered sellers who use SelluSeller do-it-yourself (DIY) setup.
SelluSeller, an online multichannel selling software, offers a one-stop solution to manage selling on multiple local and cross-border sales channels, such as Lazada, Zalora, Qoo10, Shopee, MyStore, Shopify, Magento and more with ease.
Furthermore, SelluSeller helps online sellers, brands, and distributors to list and sell products online with features such as pricing and promotion management, centralized inventory and order management, payment reconciliation and many more.
