Canadian life insurer Manulife Financial Corp. (Manulife) announced the launch of its information-technology (IT) company in the Philippines, in line with delivering and maintaining digital solutions, as well as providing robust delivery and quality assurance to its customers across Asia.
In a statement on Thursday, Manulife introduced Manulife IT Delivery Center Asia (MITDC), a new company in the Philippines aimed at harnessing the efficient use of technology, solutions, skills and other resources to provide faster and better services to its customers.
Jason Little, Manulife Chief Information Officer in Southeast Asia, said Manulife chose to invest in the Philippines for its conducive environment for the companies operating in the business-process outsourcing (BPO) sector.
