ONLINE sellers in the Philippines have to address problems on talent and resources to achieve their huge potential.
“There is a huge community of online sellers that is highly underserved in the Philippine market. These sellers have huge potential to grow, but are often restricted due to lack of manpower and resources,” said Vaibhav Dabhade, chief executive officer of Anchanto, in a recent e-mail interview with BusinessMirror.
“In the same manner, the Philippines is a great potential market with untapped e-commerce opportunities for enterprise businesses in the region. As the e-commerce penetration, infrastructure and telecommunication growth continues to proliferate, there will be a lot of opportunities across industries, such as logistics and retail,” Dabhade added.
He said 2018 was a good year for Anchanto Philippines as it was able to successfully start serving a large number of online sellers, retailers, brands and distributors in the country.
Moreover, he said, the Philippine subsidiary implemented serious efforts to study the idiosyncrasies, introduced products with relevant capabilities and integrations, and hired a talented local work force to provide a highly personalized experience to their customers in the country.
Dabhade said Anchanto has ambitious expansion growth plans for 2019. With more than 100 ready e-commerce integrations with marketplaces, web stores, accounting tools, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, he said Anchanto intends to reach out to all businesses that wish to manage seamless e-commerce operations and generate massive e-commerce revenue.
“And with our products getting exceptional results for our customers in the market, we are super confident that we will achieve the top position in the Philippine market,” he said.
Dabhade said the company is confident their platform has the potential to help businesses of all sizes—right from a small online seller with limited orders, to a global distributor with multichannel selling and logistics operations spread across regions. He said Anchanto plans to expand its current base of more than 6,500 do-it-yourself (DIY) sellers and more than 250 enterprise customers, and become the leading and the most customer-centric company in our domain. To help Filipino online entrepreneurs in expanding their business, Dabhade said Anchanto has introduced its special plan: “This is exactly why we have introduced our special plan—‘Forever Free.’”
“As its name itself suggests, online sellers will now be able to manage their online selling across multiple online marketplaces in the Philippines absolutely free of cost. With SelluSeller, they can save a lot of time, money and resources, and get a huge chance to grow their selling operations and profits across multiple channels,” he said.
Under Forever Free, Dabhade said online sellers are allowed to add unlimited local marketplaces to their account, and also add and manage unlimited stock keeping units (SKUs) with their SelluSeller account.
He pointed out the plan has been carefully designed to ensure maximum growth for small and micro sellers. He said the company has received warm feedback from the market since it was launched. “With each passing day, we have more and more sellers getting on board SelluSeller—free of cost,” he said.
“I strongly believe that with the right support, these sellers can grow exponentially and can contribute significantly to the nation’s economy,” he said.
