MAJOR one-stop office solutions and printing provider U-Bix Corp on Thursday expressed bullishness on its growth for 2019.
“This year, U-Bix is aiming to achieve an 11-percent to 15-percent revenue growth from 11 percent in 2017. We achieved P1.2 billion in revenues in 2018,” said May Ann Bravo-Civil, director of U-Bix Corp, in a press briefing held in Makati City on Thursday.
“Our positive sales performance in key growth centers was a major driver of U-Bix,” Bravo-Civil added.
Leah Barcas, U-Bix EVP and chief finance officer, said the country’s continuous economic growth is a major contributor to the solid performance of U-Bix. She said the outlook of the company this year is also focused on growing the business as more companies will need more machines for their printing requirements.
“Metro Manila will still be the major growth area for U-Bix,” Barcas said. Bravo-Civil said remote and diagnostics services will also be a big driver as business organizations need their printing machines to be in top shape for transmitting information.
She said innovation has enabled U-Bix to maintain its high marks in product development and science-based services, such as transformations from plain-paper copiers to auto-color management, front-to-back registration, vivid colors, high speed and wide-paper format applications.
Through the years, Bravo-Civil said U-Bix has leaned on diversification as part of its growth strategy and strengthening customer trust as the main driver for expanding its products and services.
Starting from its printing portfolio, she said U-Bix subsidiaries have also developed a strong brand of professionalism in their respective areas, such as in professional facilities management services, digitization and document management services, hotel and resorts operations, manpower deployment both locally and globally, training and education, publication, high-end office furniture, golf and sports, and coffee-business essentials, as well as construction and property-development ventures.
In the last five years, U-Bix has won the overall championship in the Konica Minolta Regional competitions (2015), best in Asia in the KM OPS Elite Award in Japan for the second straight year (2016), Elite Prestige Award in Japan (2017) and continuous U-Bix & BenCab Partnership (2019) for the national artist’s iconic “Sabel” calendar series.
The U-Bix diversification now includes U-Bix ownership of Island News community newspaper, Bravo Hotel & Golf course (the only All-Par 3 layout in the country) and Munting Paraiso beach resort—all found in Dumaguete City. U-Bix also owns and operates the scenic Blue Wave Inn beach resort in Siquijor, and runs as well the U-Bix Institute of Technology headed by Dr. Fel Bravo.
“We will never stop providing our customers the state-of-the-art products and, modesty aside, the world-class service that we’ve been known for all this time,” Bravo said.
