LIPA City is all set to experience the warmth of Filipino hospitality and Thai graciousness as Torre Lorenzo Development Corp. (TLDC) tied up with Dusit Thani International for a world-class accommodation facility that is expected to rise at the first premium mixed-use development in this side of Batangas by 2021.
In the P2.4-billion urban lifestyle center called “Tierra Lorenzo Lipa,” Dusit Princess Lipa will offer both the business and leisure markets with well-appointed 152 rooms together with its premium hotel amenities and facilities.
Other offerings will include an all-day dining restaurant, a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool and function rooms.
“Lipa, Batangas, over the past few years, has exhibited solid economic growth which shows signs that it is an emerging key city. With the addition of Dusit Princess Lipa, Tierra Lorenzo Lipa is expected to change the leisure and real-estate landscape in the area,” said Tomas P. Lorenzo, president and CEO of TLDC.
This project, according to Dusit International Group CEO Suphajee Suthumpun, is going to be the pioneering global branded hotel in this first class city in the province of Batangas.
Seeing that Lipa has so many things to offer yet still missing a hospitality facility that is of global standard, she said that they decided to work with the leading property developer in the country to offer tourists with their distinctive kind of service.
“As the first internationally branded hotel in the area, Dusit Princess Lipa is positioned to tap into the fast-growing domestic and leisure market,” she said during their contract signing held recently at Dust Thani Hotel in Makati City.
In fact, Suthumpun noted that it’s actually going to create a big potential for the city itself because it can welcome more tourists, conference attendees and some kind of business travelers.
“If you look at the number of occupancy for the city itself, the majority of those hotels are 100 percent occupied and the minimum percentage is 40 percent, which actually opens a lot of rooms for us to be there to offer something better for the city,” she explained.
Established in 1948, Dusit International offers a unique international portfolio of distinctive hotels and resorts operating under four brands: Dusit Thani, dusitD2, Dusit Princess and Dusit Devarana. Dusit Thani Manila has been in the Philippines for 10 years.
“As we continue to expand the Dusit footprint in the Philippines, we are confident that we have found the right partner in Torre Lorenzo,” said Evelyn Singson, vice chairman and president of Dusit Thani Philippines Inc.
“We wish this project the best and success, and we hope that we have more of this kind of pioneering projects to develop in the country,” Suthumpun added.
On his part, TLDC CFO Noel Rapadas expressed gratitude to Dusit International for partnering with them because this project will help grow the business of both parties.
“It also enables us to expand our services to the projects outside of Metro Manila, which to us is a strategic direction because we want to build our brand by moving across the country. This allows us now to also mutually leverage on our expertise, our market knowledge and our brand,” he said.
Apart from accommodation, Tierra Lorenzo Lipa will also house two residential condominiums, with a combined inventory of 526 residential units. “As a real-estate developer, we do not go with trends. We aim to provide an upgraded and elevated lifestyle for emerging affluents for communities in evolving cities all over the country,” Lorenzo stressed.
In January 2019, TLDC will complete Davao’s first luxury complex which houses the Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Davao hotel in Lanang, Davao City.
The company continues to expand its portfolio which features premium university residences, multi-use complexes, leisure destinations and townships across the country.
