A quick look at the Internet says that he is busy getting involved in the post-production of Ad Astra and was recently cast in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film centered on the Manson family murders. But a little scrolling here and there will bring you to the gossip columns and that the latest on him is, according to a source “close” to the actor (who I’m sure is the gardener of the second cousin of the mistress of the barber of Brad’s), that the actor-producer-philanthropist is enjoying the “time of his life” being single—and that there is no way he is going back to Angelina Jolie. That same source even quoted Brad as saying his time with Angelina, ostensibly in Brad’s own words, “were the dark years.” Oh, say mo?
There may be a crop of younger and more hunky-licious men seducing me now but Brad Pitt will always occupy a special, passionate place in my heart. Why not? He is staggeringly gorgeous but what makes my Brad the best is his talent. He is one of the most painfully underrated Hollywood actors and an indefatigable producer. He is, in a word, a superstar.
This doesn’t surprise his acting coach and discoverer, Ivana Chubbuck. Ivana has coached a lot of A-list celebrities, including Brad. The acclaimed acting coach, famous for her 12-step technique, first met Brad when he was a promoter in a fast-food shop and helped him achieve his status as an acting icon. On what makes Brad and other actors very successful, she says, “It’s the work ethic. [Brad] works hard and is fearless. He would rehearse a scene so much. Up to two to three hours per scene. When he was starting, his costars would complain so much about this. But where are they now, and look at where Brad is.”
Well, if you want to have a degree of separation from Brad like me, maybe you’d be interested to know that Ivana will be holding a two-day workshop for the talents under Star Magic and ABS-CBN actors on October 7 and 8 at the Dolphy Theater. And it is open for observers.
Ivana’s workshop would center on the strengthening of her brand of acting that would enable actors to #DiscoverYourPower. This is a follow-up to her 2016 visit which introduced her method. Ivana’s approach isn’t only limited for actors, but it can also cater to writers and directors as it teaches you how to win in life, as well.
This year’s third master class would have 16 participants, the majority of which are Star Magic artists who were handpicked by ABS-CBN executives.
The diverse bunch is composed of up-and-coming actors, next lead stars, showbiz royalties, former child stars and a Star Magic public workshopper. The Star Magic artists include Mica Javier, Diego Loyzaga, Jameson Blake, Leila Alcasid, Myrtle Sarrosa, Vin Abrenica, Enzo Pineda, Joseph Marco, Nash Aguas and Elmo Magalona, as well as Star Magic workshopper Manuel Calilung.
Also part of the master class are other Kapamilya stars: Loren Burgos, Bela Padilla, Aljur Abrenica, Christian Bables and JC Santos.
Based on their brief acting profiles, Ivana herself randomly chose the scene studies which the artists will have to rehearse with their respective partners to showcase at the master class. Following this, the premier acting coach would critique their performances and they are expected to incorporate the comments on their finale performance the following day. Apart from Ivana, some esteemed ABS-CBN executives, directors, business unit heads and film enthusiasts will also be present at the master class in order to witness the transformation the artists have made in their performances.
Be an observer at Hollywood acting coach Ivana Chubbuck’s master class at the Dolphy Theater this weekend, October 6 and 7.
