HONDA Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the official distributor of Honda motorcycles in the country, recently welcomed ABS-CBN actor Coco Martin as its newest brand ambassador. Aside from being the new face of Honda motorcycles, the Kapamilya star is also set to represent the company’s One Dream campaign. First rising to fame in various independent films, Martin eventually achieved mainstream success and popularity in the local TV series.
“Natutuwa ako sa pagkakataon na maging part ng Honda Philippines family. Isang karangalan para sa akin na i-represent ang isang brand na hindi lang nagbibigay ng magandang technology, nagtuturo pa ng safety para sa kaligtasan ng bawa’t mamayan at nagiging daan para matupad ang kanilang mga pangarap [I’m very happy with the opportunity given by Honda Philippines to be part of its family. It’s an honor to represent the brand known not only for offering outstanding technology, but also promotes safety among riders toward achieving their dreams],” Martin said.
Also present during the contract-signing ceremony was HPI general manager and department manager of motorcycle business planning Jomel Jerezo. “We’re extremely proud to have Coco Martin as our new brand ambassador. As a global company, we believe in the power of dreams. From his humble beginnings to being one of the most sought-after actors in the country’s entertainment industry, Coco Martin perfectly exemplifies what it means to achieve one’s dream,” he said.
Jerezo also pointed out that Martin has become a massive inspiration to Filipinos. With the actor as its new ambassador, HPI believes that the move will further strengthen its drive for creating smart technology and practicing safe motorcycle riding. Further, the new ambassador will also serve as the channel to impart awareness among Filipinos about Honda’s advanced lineup of product offerings and technology. In order to fully certify the new ambassador and promote road safety, Martin, like any other motorcycle rider, underwent a Safety Riding course at Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC). “So together with Honda and Coco Martin, let’s reach out and inspire more Filipinos with one people, one love, one heart, one dream,” Jerezo concluded.
