SENATOR Cynthia Villar retained her ranking as the richest member of the Senate “millionaires club,” edging out Senator Emmanuel Pacquiao, based on their filing of sworn statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) for 2017.
Sen. Villar, in filing a joint SALN with her husband, former Senate President Manuel Villar, declared their net worth at P3,611,260,766 , or P5.2 million higher than their joint declaration in 2016.
Champion boxer Pacquiao, on the other hand, declared his net worth at P2,946,315,029.93, which was P126 million lower than his 2016 SALN.
Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto came in third, declaring his net worth at P538.89 million, followed by Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri with P152 million net. Sen. Juan Edgardo Angara was ranked fifth, declaring P133.76 million net worth.
