Piolo Pascual is one of this year’s best-dressed men, according to Metro Society, and deservedly so. Piolo has always carried his clothes very well and he’s got an innate style. I met him even before he was big star and he’s always had a flair for fashion.
“Your style is your brand, and who you are, how you project yourself, is your brand,” said the actor, who just returned to prime-time television this week on ABS-CBN’s fresh offering, Since I Found You.
Also included in the top 10 of Metro Society’s best-dressed list are TV and events host Raymond Gutierrez, football player-turned-start-up CEO Anton del Rosario, entrepreneur and Welcome Worldwide Inc. Cofounder Michael Concepcion, Signet store founder and owner Kelly See, businessman and CEO Raul Francisco, dermatologist and CEO Dr. Z Teo, risk financial consultant JM Lagdameo, real-estate executive Rick Yupangco and Rustan’s Commercial Corp. President Donnie Tantoco.
Other ABS-CBN actors included in the list are Daniel Padilla, Jericho Rosales, John Lloyd Cruz, Matteo Guidicelli, Enrique Gil, James Reid, Xian Lim, Joshua Garcia and Richard Gutierrez. While I agree with most of the choices, I would also include Showtime hosts Vhong Navarro, who embodies a casual, effortless style; and Hashtags Nikko Natividad and Ryle Santiago. Nikko has a more street style that’s savvy, while Ryle is casual but smart.
Anyway, congratulations to those who made the list!

ONE of today’s rising tandems—ABS-CBN stars McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson—officially launched the second book in their hit “mangaserye” Vlogger Girl Problems by ABS-CBN Publishing.
In the first book, Elisse is beauty and lifestyle vlogger Elaine rescued by Mr. Blue/Marky (McCoy) in a holdup incident. In this follow-up story, Marky and Elaine’s friendship blossoms but things get complicated, as Marky seems to be afraid of Elaine’s dad, Mr. Z, and his business partners. The McLisse tandem is cartooned by manga artists in Vlogger Girl Problems, a series of books that puts a spin on traditional ways of storytelling. Manga is a style of Japanese comics and graphic novels for readers of all ages. The book series has a double cover, featuring another hit love team, Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber, or MayWard, in the He’s My Oppastar story.
Maymay is Macy in the book, a solid fangirl of K-pop group Miniluv. This time, Macy receives tickets to a secret concert of her idol. Is she prepared to finally meet Red (Edward), her oppa superstar? While she is elated with this development, she longs for her new friend, Eddie. Why did he suddenly disappear?
The book two of McLisse’s Vlogger Girl Problems and MayWard’s He’s My Oppastar are now available in National Book Store and Powerbooks outlets nationwide for only P185 each.
