WITH the objective of fostering better and closer friendship and fellowship and promoting mutual growth and development, the businessmen in Mandaue and Bacolod cities have entered into a sisterhood agreement.
The agreement was formally signed during the Investment Forum initiated by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. last Friday.
Officers and members of the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. and the other business chambers in Metro Cebu also participated in the event held at Oakridge Pavilion, Oakridge Business Park in Mandaue City.
The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc., a duly organized and registered association of Negros Occidental businessmen and investors, was represented by its president, Roberto Montelibano.
The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc., a duly organized and registered association of companies and businesses, was represented by its president, Glenn Anthony Soco.
The two parties agreed to bind themselves in the fulfillment of mutual undertakings in order to strengthen the business and economic growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in their respective jurisdictions. They will also undertake investment and trade promotion of their respective cities in order to create an ideal economic climate for businesses; exchange social and cultural activities that are of distinct appreciation to both chambers.
The parties also agreed to provide relief and assistance in times of calamity and disaster that may occur in their respective constituencies.
