KALIBO, Aklan—The Aklan Provincial Police Office (Appo) has sought the cooperation of the Aklan Bankers Association (ABA) to ensure the province’s peace and order, especially due to a series of anticipated long holidays.
SPO1 Nida Gregas, provincial police information officer, said the meeting was held with the officers and members of the association here recently.
The ABA is headed by Agnes Francisco, a manager of Metrobank.
“Police Senior Supt. Lope Manlapaz, acting provincial police office chief, discussed with the officers and members of the ABA about tips on crime prevention. He also sought cooperation with the bankers’ group for peace and order,” Gregas said last Wednesday.
The Appo is currently on red alert on anticipation of a series of holiday-related activities, including Halloween, Christmas and the Ati-Atihan festival.
