LBC signs partnership deal with Pera Hub

COURIER LBC Express Inc. has partnered with Aboitiz-led Pera Hub, the retail brand of Petnet Inc., with the two groups signing an agreement.

The deal involved LBC outlets offering payout services for transactions sent via Western Union services in all of its over 1,400 locations nationwide, thus providing more convenience to consumers.

Petnet President Lorenzo Ocampo, Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. EVP and Chief Operating Officer Sabin Aboitiz and LBC President and Chief Operating Officer Miguel Camahort signed the contract.

“Staying true to LBC’s overall vision and thrust for fourth quarter of  2016, we are proud to announce this partnership with one of the most respected and trusted names in the industry,” Camahort said. “We are excited to have LBC onboard. This will definitely open up new opportunities for both businesses with regard to the remittance industry,” Ocampo said. Pera Hub claims to be the largest agent network of Western Union in the Philippines. “We are pleased with this collaboration between Petnet and LBC. Having Western Union services available in LBC branches nationwide is aligned with our plans of expanding our network footprint in the country and making our services more accessible to consumers,” said Jeffrey Navarro, Western Union country director.
