HYGIENE product-maker Sanitary Care Products Asia Inc. (SCPA) has tapped German alternative-energy producer PV2 Energie to power its operations.
In a statement released on Wednesday, solar company PV2 Energie announced the powering up of SCPA’s 120-kilowatt-hour (kWh) solar rooftop for the latter’s manufacturing in Pampanga.
For its hygiene-product line, the SCPA invested into a highly automated paper-converting facility in Pampanga. The high level of automation results in an increased energy demand. The solar system will supply low-cost green energy for the company’s manufacturing process.
Renato Sio, founder and owner of SCPA, said its new facilities equipped with the solar rooftop will allow for the production of 160,117 kWh per year—only a quarter of the factory’s present electronic demand, but will lead to substantial carbon-emission reduction.
PV2 Energie is a solar-energy project developer headquartered in Germany with offices in the Philippines.
The company is specialized in building rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems. The company plans, builds, finances and operates solar-power plants on open spaces, as well as on rooftops of commercial, industrial, agricultural or public buildings.
