NETWORKING company Pillars 5 is strengthening its mission to develop more entrepreneurs in the country by further enhancing its business model and address the growing negative notion on multilevel marketing (MLM).
Pillars 5 President and CEO Ramon Garcia told the BusinessMirror that MLM is an industry that has existed for years that continues to be hounded with controversies, lend it a negative image in general.
He attributed this to reports on a number of companies that closed shop due to issues of bankruptcy or illegal operations leading to scam.
“People have compromised their values and so the industry, as a whole, has been compromised. You will find many people being scammed by companies with less than superior products and dubious business practices,” he said.
“On top of that, many people don’t have a good understanding of the MLM industry they represent and are not able to communicate what their company has to offer,” he added.
While he admitted there are still illicit or fly-by-night players out there, he said many of them are legally operating and successful.
He said the lack of regulations for the MLM industry does not help companies who do their best in building a better reputation for the industry, particularly those with genuine products that help people.
Pillars 5 is a distributor of all-natural products that help the body rebuild its systems for optimal health.
Through its network of home-based entrepreneurs, the company aims to bring back health to people and help those who have a dream of building their own businesses and achieve financial freedom.
What differentiates Pillars 5 from other MLM companies are its thrusts not only to achieve business growth but also expunge the negative preconceived notions on the industry.
Garcia said they have established their business based on five core values: servant leadership, humility, excellence, integrity and stewardship.
“Those core values are the uncompromising foundation of our business and we believe, they will serve us very well now and in the future,” he said.
The company passes on these values to their home-based entrepreneurs—their distributors—by building a strong relationship and by educating them on how they can “add value” to their customer’s life. Roderick L. Abad
“We strive for consistency in what we say and do; staying focused on the company’s vision; staying true to our core values. Over time, this is how people will perceive us differently from the rest of the pack,” Garcia said. “We differentiate ourselves from the rest by explaining how we do things differently, i.e., having affordable entry into the business, product emphasis, no hard selling, no false claims and promises, no hype.”
As they build relationships with their distributors and teach them the firm’s core values, he said it is almost easy for them to market their products sourced here and abroad.
The all-natural ingredients offered by Pillars 5 include the Life Enzyme, a multi-nutrient supplement produced in Taiwan by their partner, Enzyme Village. Nutrishuz Green Foods Health Drink and My TLC Essential Oils are formulated by their biochemistry expert consultant and produced in the Philippines. The Souq Moroccan Argan Oil is sourced from Morocco.
While he conceded their products are not cures or treatments for illnesses, Garcia said they “rebuild and restore.”
“We help rebuild the immune system so the immune system will restore the person back to optimal health. Our body is the intelligent healer, not the products. What our products do is give the body what it needs to heal and repair itself,” he said.
