EASTERN Petroleum Corp. announced plans to open more EC Gas outlets, at least five every month, in a bid to enhance its current retail network of franchise-owned outlet in Metro Manila and nearby cities.
Fernando Martinez, Eastern Petroleum chairman and CEO, said the company would open EC Gas outlets in Bacoor, Cavite City and General Trias in Cavite; Tondo, Manila; Pasig City; Parañaque City; and Quezon City within the year.
Eastern Petroleum recently inaugurated its first EC Gas outlet in Dapitan, Manila, in line with its plans to open close to 100 EC Gas company-owned and company-operated (Coco) outlets within the year.
Martinez said the company is expanding its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) business to give households with the safest LPG, and let them enjoy savings they could generate from the use of EC Gas.
“It does not compete with the current roster of franchisees, but complements the existing retail network, as these new EC Gas Coco outlets will cater to the untapped areas around the country,” he said.
Martinez said the company is also looking for potential sites for these EC Gas Coco outlets all over the country. “We are also currently working to open Coco outlets in North, Central and South Luzon.” Martinez said Eastern EC Gas expects its users of 30-percent and up to 50-percent savings in their monthly LPG consumption as experienced by the first 45,000 users, adding that the savings they generate could be used to finance their other needs.
The company has also lined up to open a number of Eastern Petroleum retail stations in the Visayas and Mindanao to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary in December.
The EC Gas LPG System is designed based on the latest composite-cylinder technology that uses seamless polymer, fiberglass construction and molded high-density polyethylene casing. It also comes with especially designed regulators built for efficiency and safety, and also built to last.
Martinez said this technology makes EC Gas cylinders explosion-proof even in direct exposure to fire, 70-percent lighter than steel tanks and translucent, which makes the LPG content visible to its users.
