BORNOK MANGOSONG revs up his bid to join veteran Glen Aguilar atop the standings in the penultimate fourth leg of the 2016 Diamond Motor Corp. Motocross Series on Saturday at the Mx Messiah Fairgrounds at the Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal.
The 24-year-old Mangosong from Davao City beat 16-time Rider of the Year Aguilar in the third leg to close in on the leader at 2-1.
Mangosong missed the first two races due to logistical problems of transporting his bike from Mindanao, allowing Aguilar to dominate the field.
Now, Mangosong’s goal is to stay consistent to creep his way up the Pro Open category, “Nothing has changed for me, but I’m still looking forward for the best results. Whatever I achieve, it’s all for the glory of God,” Mangosong, who is unbeaten this year, said.
Also expected to join the fray are Enzo Rellosa and brothers JC and Ralph Ramento.
Mclean Aguilar, meanwhile, hopes to defend his Pro Lites title, while Pia Gabriel is seeking to snatch the Ladies Open.
