AFTER famous Italian high-end brands Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini entered the Philippine market, it is now the turn of Milan-based Rimadesio to introduce its own brand of elegance and class to Filipinos.
Guiseppe Gaviragi, regional manager of Rimadesio, said the company believes it is the best time to enter the Philippine market. “The country has shown impressive growth in the past few years and it was just a matter of timing,” Gaviragi said in an interview with the media over the weekend held at Rimadesio showroom in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
Rimadesio produces modular systems for the living room, bookcases, sliding panels, swing doors, walk-in wardrobes and a collection of select complementary furniture.
Gaviragi said Rimadesio continues to promote its quality design in the emerging capitals of design through a series of exhibition sites in the most exclusive urban frameworks. Furthermore, he said Rimadesio has been accepted in the global market as manifested in its in 65 countries in the world. Rimadesio launched its first Philippine store in BGC with no less than Rimadesio President and CEO Davide Malberti who flew in from Milan as the guest of honor. Since its establishment in 1956, Rimadesio has always been recognized as a reputable, high-end brand of impeccable quality and workmanship. But it was under Malberti’s leadership that the company went global in 2009.
Andrew Ng, owner of Bespoke doors and furniture and importer of Rimadesio, said the company decided to introduce the brand because a lot of Filipinos can now afford to buy high-end brands. “The Philippines is now recognized as one of the strongest growing economies in Asia,” Ng said. “Consumers are demanding increasingly differentiated and innovative products, and the market of prestigious brands has only grown larger, bolder.” Rimadesio Art Director Giuseppe Bavuso, has won countless awards over the decades, and continues to be the creative force that drives the company. Rimadesio designs are sleek but not spartan, elegant but not flashy, impressive but not flamboyant, and unmistakably classy without being ostentatious.
