MANY Kathniels were alarmed when the Jadine-starrer On The Wings of Love was scheduled to air right after Pangako Sa ’Yo.
First things first: for those who don’t know, Kathniels are the fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. I wrote before that with their sheer number and ferociousness, they could stage a coup d’ etat. They are vehemently passionate.
They so love their idols that they will declare war against China should the Chinese prime minister announce in a news conference that the pairing of Daniel and Kathryn doesn’t hold a candle to the love team of James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
James and Nadine’s fans, meanwhile, are collectively called Jadines. They can actually rival the Kathniels and they avidly support their idols’ prime-time soap On The Wings of Love, making the show trend worldwide every night since its premiere. There have been a number of heated exchanges between the two fan groups in social media, and even in person. The Kathniels maintain that their idols are indestructible and can rule the universe.
They confidently say they will give their life to their teen king and teen queen. The Jadines, on the other hand, are slowly gaining strength and riding high on the crest of success that their idols are enjoying.
Who is the better love team? I don’t know. Who is more handsome, Daniel Padilla or James Reid? It depends on your taste, but I must say they both are blessed in the looks department. Who is more beautiful and more charming, Kathryn or Nadine? If you ask me, they both are.
I guess I’m half Kathniel and half Jadine. And I’m proud of it. I know, I know—I’m too old to follow love teams! In fact, if you add 10 years to Daniel’s or James’s age, I am still a lot older than them, but I still feel kilig whenever they do something romantic onscreen.
I watch both shows, Pangako Sa ’Yo and On The Wings of Love, every night and I just love watching them. I’m thoroughly entertained by both shows, so I really can’t choose who is the better love team. It’s like Sophie’s Choice! Ang hirap!
I’m quite sure the millions of Kathniels and Jadines would agree with me.

I like Sitti. She has a unique sound and a very cool, beautiful voice I will never get tired of listening to. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since she released her debut album. I can still remember the day when I first listened to her CD. I was given a promotional copy by the record company and since then, I’ve been hooked.
So it’s fabulous to know that Sitti has just released Singles Bossa Nova Trio, a live recording of her hits done al fresco at a house somewhere in Rizal with guitarist Erskine Basilio and percussionist Diego Martinez.
The tracks include some of the bossa exponent’s popular singles with a fresh twist, like “Girl From Ipanema,” “Tattooed on My Mind” and “Para Sa Akin.” My personal favorite, “Sunday Morning,” is also included along with “I Want It That Way,” “To Forget You” and “La La Means I Love You.”
The album’s carrier single is “Ligaya.” She says this song defines “my life where I am right now as a happily married woman.”
Sitti wrote this song, as well as “Answers” and “All I Ever Wanted,” also included in the album.
Indeed, Sitti finds happiness in being married and it reflects in her new album.
Sitti hopes that fans would like Singles Bossa Nova Trio and support her just like before. It is available in CDs at Astroplus, Astrovision and Odyssey outlets.
It is also available for download on Spinnr and iTunes, and can be streamed on Spinnr, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer and Guvera.

Uh huh.
Do not be a fence sitter dear author. In life those who fence sit had a great fall like humpty-dumpty. Kath has more refreshing looks than Dine. She is bubbly while Dine projects a reserved hubris. You could interchange their partners and nothing changes except maybe the chemistry.
