THE 12th International ICT Awards-Philippines has bestowed recognition upon the year’s “best of the best” in the local information and communications technology as well as the business-process outsourcing industries.
The finalists and winners of the 13 categories—including the two of the most coveted awards: the Best Company of the Year and Best Employer of the Year—were announced during its gala night on March 22.
VXI Global Holdings B.V. Philippines won as Best Employer of the Year, which was presented by title sponsor Globe Business, while Cognizant Technology Solutions Philippines was adjudged as Best Company of the Year, which was presented by title sponsor PLDT Enterprise.
Category Award winners were iQor Philippines as Best First-Time Nominated Company of the Year and Best Company of the Year Outside of NCR; Affinity Express Philippines as Best Filipino-Owned Company of the Year; VXI Global Holdings B.V. Philippines as Most Innovative Company of the Year, as well as Best Contact Center and BPO Company of the Year; and American Express, International as Best Global In-House Center Company of the Year.
Other winners included Cognizant Technology Solutions Philippines as Best Company of the Year Providing Services for Health Information Management and Best C-Suite Team of the Year; WNS Global Services Philippines as Best Company of the Year for Finance and Accounting; B&M Global Services Manila as Best Company of the Year for Information Technology & Software Development; and Team Hybrid of Telus International as Best Front-Line Team of the Year.
Almost 100 nominations were received at close of nominations on February 5. An independent panel of judges selected the finalists and winners in each category based on published criteria for each award.
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, in association with the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines, organized the event. VIP guests included Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines John Holmes, Undersecretary Eliseo M. Rio Jr. of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Undersecretary Nora Terrado of the Department of Trade and Industry, as well as Ms. Earth 2017 Karen S. Ibasco.
