PTT Philippines Corp. will host a Run for Clean Energy fun run located at the grounds of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Pasay City, on Sunday.
The first-ever fun run, organized by the subsidiary of Thailand’s energy firm, aims to promote clean environment, development of technology and lesser fuel use, according to Vittaya Viboonterawud, PTT Philippines director for commercial fuel and lubricants.
“Aside from promoting clean energy, we also want to promote corporate trust, which is building family and brotherhood. It is in this kind of synergy that we believe we will be able to achieve promotion of wellness, sports and the environment,” PTT Philippines Foundation Inc. President Paul Senador said at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday.
Vittaya added the firm organized the fun run also to “return something to the community”.
Assembly time is at 4 a.m. The gun start for the 10-kilometer category will be at 5:30 a.m., 5K at 5:50 a.m. and the 3K at 6:30 a.m.
The first three winners in the 10K category will receive prizes, which would be announced on the day of the event.
Vittaya said they expect 2,000 to 3,000 runners to participate in the event.
The registration is ongoing until July 13 at Chris Sports SM Manila, while online registration will be up until July 16. Registration for the fun run, also backed by Milcu, Leslie’s and Medicard. Listup is also available during race day an hour before the running of the different categories.
