EDITO RUAYA, leader of the Transport Service Cooperative at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) in Parañaque City, was shot dead Tuesday morning by two assailants inside the cooperative’s canteen, a police report reaching the National Police general headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, said.
The case investigator, Police Officer 2 Leonillo Quiambao, said the killing of Ruaya happened at around 5:45 a.m.
He said Ruaya is the leaders of a cooperative of taxicab drivers who regularly wait for passengers at the premier airport.
“The killers entered the canteen while Ruaya was there and shot him several times at close range,” Quiambao said.
The victim died on the spot.
Police investigators are still determining the motive for the killing and the identities of the assailants who fled on board a motorcycle.
