MANY think of the Philippines as a third-world country in many respects. However, they wouldn’t be able to say the same thing about the passion that its people have for cars.

Last week, Autostrada Motore Inc., the official importer-distributor of Ferrari cars in the Philippines, presented to the motoring press what is considered the world’s most powerful supercar, the Ferrari FF.

Sixth-gen 3 Series hits the streets

ASIAN Carmakers Corp. (ACC) on May 10 took enthusiasts and members of the motoring press down memory lane when it launched the All-New BMW 3 Series at the BMW Pavilion in the Bonifacio Global City.

The venue, which was erected just for the event and immediately taken down the day after, featured a panoramic screen that flashed images of popular culture accompanied by sounds from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.  Each sequence was graced by a BMW 3 Series representing its decade, which was driven by its owner through a marked strip in front of the audience.

It is trek time and trekkers go gaga

THE Toyota Road Trek 8 was all set to blast off on Tuesday, May 15, as I write this. 

Barring a major hitch—as in another “Thrilla at Naia” or something happening at the airport à la Mon Tulfo (my compare) versus Raymart Santiago in their infamous mano à mano, some 55 souls were set to board a flight at Naia 3 that day, many of them from the motoring media.
