The three-time world champion has been training for months and will visit the Wild Card Gym upon arrival in California. Julaton left Manila for San Francisco on Sunday evening and is scheduled to face Franchesca “The Chosen One” Alcanter on February 25 at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond.
“Maraming-maraming salamat sa support, sana po you can watch my fight on February 26, I hope to see you there,” Julaton said.
The fight, dubbed “The Return of the Hurricane,” will be aired by TV5 and will also launch the network’s UHF Channel 41 sports and news channel.
The 30-year-old Julaton, nicknamed “The Hurricane,” won the International Boxing Association female super-bantamweight crown against Kelsey Jeffries in 2009 and won the vacant WBO crown with a unanimous decision victory over Donna Biggers.
She bowed to Lisa “Bad News” Brown in the battle for the World Boxing Association (WBA) title in March last year before downing Maria Elene Villalobos of Mexico in the fight for the vacant WBA crown three months later.
