And if the stories circulating around show business are to be taken seriously, she’ll reportedly be a part of this daring project that the movie outfit she’s presently under contract with will soon be doing.

At any rate, a lot of people are of the opinion that no matter what she does, it’s not at all going to yield positive results unless she changes her deplorable working habits.

For this not-so-young actress is devoid of any discipline in her life and is reportedly perennially sluggish and very much wanting of any drive to correct her bad working habit.

As a matter of fact, Christmas gifts for her friends from the press that should have been handed out some two years ago are still with her and have remained undistributed.

That’s how chaotic her life is, and it no longer comes as a surprise that her love life has never been a success.

Gabby Eigenmann gets emotional over ‘Munting Heredera’ ending

I’ve always been impressed with Gabby Eigenmann’s good PR as far as I could remember. We might not be that intimate but in the few occasions that I got to see him, he was always exemplary and the paradigm of good PR.

Whereas most actors would wait for the press to be the first one to say hi to them, this villain of the top-rating soap Munting Heredera on GMA readily goes out of his way to be the first one to greet them.

Anyway, at the presscon tendered by the Kapuso Network for the soap that’s being headlined by the movie queen of the late ’50s, Gloria Romero, Gabby was his usual amiable self as he table-hopped to greet the working press.

That evening though, he became rather emotional over the fact that their soap is about to end after lording over the prime-time landscape for a good chunk of its nine-month run.

“This soap is memorable to me since this is where I won the Golden Screen Best Supporting Actor Award from the Entertainment Press Society,” he told the gathered media, his emotions barely in check.

“Marami ring magagandang bagay na nangyari in the course of nine months that we worked solidly together to make the soap interesting.

“In a way, I’m happy na na-extend ito nang na-extend dahil nagustuhan siguro ng publiko.

“Partly,” he added in jest, “kaya siguro kami tumagal nang ganito ay dahil sa ‘deadline’ ni Tita Glo [Gloria Romero] na not later than 10 pm siya puwedeng mag-shoot for our soap.

“Honestly,” he added, turning serious, “kaya naman siguro kami nagtagal ay dahil sa nagustuhan ng mga tao ang aming trabaho and that is something we will always be proud of.

“Nung nagsisimula pa lang kami,” he recalled earnestly, “medyo nagkakailangan pa siyempre since this was the first time we would be working as a team.

“Sabi nga ni Leandro [Baldemor, his co-star on the soap], he can say now that he’s an actor and not just the bold actor he started out as during the mid-’90s.

“Ako rin, I’m proud to say that Munting Heredera has changed me in such a way that I am now more focused with my acting and more determined to give my very best in every role that I’m given.

“For one thing, our director Maryo J. de los Reyes has been most patient and lenient with us.

“Before a scene would roll, sinasabi niya ang gusto niyang mangyari but he gives you the freedom to attack your role the way you want it.

“Honestly,” he said with eyes smarting with tears, “I will miss everyone the moment our soap finally comes to its end.

“Ang sarap makatrabaho ang mga taong professional at walang ere sa set, at para lang kayong magkakapatid na nagtatrabaho for a common goal.

“I really would miss everyone and it pains me to know that our soap is coming to an end.”

Munting Heredera will finally bid its avid viewers adieu on February 3 after largely dominating the ratings since its May 9, 2011 debut. It airs after 24 Oras on the GMA Telebabad prime-time block.

 

Christian Vasquez is impressive

WHEN I’m home and not busy with the usual deadlines and presscons I religiously attend to, I never fail to watch ABS-CBN’s Budoy featuring the talented Gerald Anderson in the title role and the equally impressive Enrique Gil.

But lately, Christian Vasquez’s otherwise devoid-of-any-color role has become assertive and colorful.

His scenes with the character played by Mylene Dizon has become histrionically demanding and his acting, a tour de force.

Indeed, Christian Vasquez is proving that he’s become a dependable actor and people from all walks of life are taking notice.

On top of that, he is looking even better than ever before.
