MOTORISTS now have more reasons to take a cab everyday as they recoup their fares when booking a GrabCar.
Southeast Asia’s largest and fastest-growing online loyalty platform ShopBack has partnered with this transportation network vehicle service (TNVS) provider to reward commuters every time they hire its new mode of transit.
Using each of its ride services—GrabCar Premium, six-seater Economy and six-seater Premium—and carpooling GrabShare, commuters can get a reward of P5 cash back.
Grab users just need to download ShopBack app in the App Store for iOS handsets or the Google Play Store for those with Android phones. With it, booking is done by clicking the Ride icon. To track the cash back, passengers need not have to edit “Notes to Driver” when booking a ride. The reward is applicable to completed GrabCar rides only, so expect no return for cancelled or incomplete trips. It’s valid only in the Philippines.
Incepted in 2014, ShopBack now powers more than 1,300 global and local e-retailers across the region.
The company leverages on technology to solve information asymmetry and develop innovative solutions to enable smarter purchasing decisions. It is banking on the high mobile penetration in Southeast Asia for business growth. In the Philippines alone, Android and iOS account for about 80 percent and 20 percent, respectively, of the smartphone user population in the country at present.
