Three management experts on enhancing customer experience are scheduled to engage participants in the upcoming Franchise Asia Philippines 2017 International Conference.
Speaking at the C-Suite Forum of the International Conference are senior level executives from Ayala Land, Grab Philippines and Jollibee Foods Corp., who will share their unique experiences, valuable insights and broad perspective on enhancing customer experience through innovation in order to accelerate growth and success.
Breaking the ice would be Jose Emmanuel H. Jalandoni, senior vice president of Ayala Land Inc., who will speak about innovating customer shopping experience in the Philippines.
Jalandoni, who is also the group head of Ayala Land’s commercial-business group, is a jack of managing many trades, including shopping centers, offices, hotels, resorts and industrial parks.
He is the chairman of the board of several operating subsidiaries, such as Ayala Land Malls Inc., the operating and managing company of over 40 shopping centers across the archipelago, such as Glorietta, Greenbelt and TriNoma; Ayala Land Offices Inc., the owner and manager of headquarter and business-process outsourcing buildings, including the Tower One and Exchange Plaza, UP Ayala Technohub, People Support, Solaris and Evotech in Nuvali; and Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts Corp., the architect behind Fairmont, Raffles and Holiday Inn and Suites in Makati City, Marriott Hotel in Cebu City, Seda Hotels in five locations and El Nido Resorts in Palawan.
Next up is Grab Philippines Country Head Brian Cu, who will discuss how to innovate transportation experience in the heavy traffic-ridden Metro. As chief of the trailblazer transportation service in the Philippines, Cu manages Grab Philippines’s operations, campaigns and brand development. He is known to have a passionate attitude toward achieving transport solutions in the country, in pursuit of providing safe and reliable public transportation for the everyday Filipino.
Before taking the wheel of Grab Philippines, Cu cofunded several brainchild projects in Southeast Asia, including Zalora Philippines and a motorbike service in Indonesia.
It was in 2013 when Cu decided to team up with Anthony Tan, CEO of the Malaysian-based Grab (locally known as Myteksi), to bring the franchise to the Philippines. What started as a flagship taxi service, GrabTaxi, Grab Philippines has expanded into private cars (GrabCar), ride-sharing (GrabShare) and deliveries (GrabExpress). Under Cu’s watch, Grab Philippines became a key player in the transportation industry of the country.
Last but not the least is Dondi Gomez, chief marketing officer of Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC), Asia’s largest restaurant company. He established the conglomerate’s corporate marketing division, which leads the development and institution of the company’s portfolio management framework, brand development principles and systems, research, media and corporate communications across JFC brands around the world, including Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Burger King Philippines, Yong He King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, Dunkin Donuts China, 12 Sabu, Smashburger, Highlands Coffee, Pho 24 and Hard Rock Café Vietnam.
Prior to joining Jollibee, Gomez was managing director for skin, deodorants and homecare of Unilever Philippines. He was a recipient of Young Market Master for Marketing Management awarded by Mansmith & Fielders in 2006.
