Yahoo!
Philippines has inked three initial partnerships with
Admax Network, Havoc Digital Media and web portal Yehey
under its “authorized reseller” medallion program.
The new
partners will promote and sell various forms of online
advertising, including display, search and
mobile-advertising solutions to companies and brands in
the Philippines as a means to provide effective
marketing solutions to grow businesses through the
online channel, Yahoo! Southeast Asia communications
manager Jeremy Seow said.
Yahoo!
Philippines general manager Jojo Anonuevo said “Yahoo!’s
authorized resellers will help reduce uncertainty about
the Internet industry by promoting standards and best
practices for businesses to manage cost-effective
advertising solutions in the Philippines.”
He added
that “Yahoo!’s strategy is to utilize its global
expertise to make it simple for advertisers to leverage
the Internet and as a means to positively transform
opportunities for their business and grow the local
economy.”
Yahoo!
has made significant progress in localizing its services
for millions of consumers in the Philippines in order to
become the most essential Internet starting point for
consumers in the country.
Yahoo!’s
“Pinoy-centric” products provide advertising
opportunities for businesses and they include the
company’s Front Page (www.yahoo.com.ph) as well as other
“starting points,” such as Yahoo! Search, Yahoo! Mail
and Messenger, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo!
Answers, Yahoo! Finance and Yahoo! Mobile. |

LOS
ANGELES—As if Google didn’t have a strong enough hold on the
planet, Tuesday it has launched its own world—a virtual
world, to be exact. Lively, which Google likes to call a
“virtual experience,” allows you to create an avatar,
decorate your own virtual room, invite friends to your room
and do things you’ve always dreamed of, like blow up oil
barrels on a deserted island. |
