STRADCOM
Corp. said it has developed a technical partnership with
Global 360 Inc. (G360) to upgrade the existing workflow
systems of core business applications for the
computerization project of the Land Transportation
Office (LTO).
The
project cost is $84 million, with funds mainly coming
from the International Finance Corp.—the private sector
investment arm of the World Bank.
Stradcom
president Cezar T. Quiambao said the partnership will
involve the acquisition of G360 business process
management solution (BPMS) equipment. The purchase of
this machine will provide Stradcom the flexibility to
respond faster to the demands of real-time analysis and
metrics.
The
computerization project will cover rehabilitation and
computerization for the 247 LTO offices nationwide. The
first phase supports the 31 offices in the National
Capital Region. The second leg involves the remaining
216 offices in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The
project management is to be housed in a central
facility—a four-story building now under construction
within the LTO compound in Quezon City. The project is
a build operate-own (BOO) concession given to Stradcom,
and carries an initial term of up to 10 years for the
computerization and interconnection of all LTO offices.
San
Antonio, Texas-based Global 360 is a major provider of
BPMS and analysis solutions to organizations’ need to
automate measure and improve resource-intensive business
processes across different communities including
customers, employees and partners.
Quiambao
said the deployment of G360 BPMS by Stradcom is a
milestone for the company because it is a major project
by the Philippine government.
He said
the G360 BPMS will be a big help for Stradcom in
delivering mission critical applications such as
driver’s license applications and renewals, motor
vehicle registrations and processing, payroll
processing, accounts payable and receivables, electronic
invoicing, order entry processing and customer life
cycle management.
“Stradcom plans to make full use of the G360 solution to
provide continuous process improvement and uncover new
ways to increase productivity, lower cost and provide
better common service,” said Quiambao in a statement. |
